Section 3 of the Kradle Terms & Conditions — Anonymity Policy
Kradle is built on a foundational principle of complete anonymity. Your real-world identity — your name, address, employer, or any identifying information — must never be disclosed on the Platform, to other players, or in any in-game context.
Your username is your only identity on Kradle. Choose it carefully — it will define your political career, military reputation, and legacy within the simulation.
What anonymity means for your registration:

⚠️ This platform is strictly for users aged 18 and over. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.
This section applies specifically to persons who submit a pre-registration prior to the launch of the Kradle Closed Alpha. It supplements and does not replace the full Terms below.
0.1 What pre-registration is: By submitting your email address and optional desired username, you are reserving a place on the Closed Alpha invitation list. Pre-registration does not constitute account creation and confers no rights to access the Platform until a valid invitation link is issued to you.
0.2 Username reservation: If you provide a desired username, Kradle will hold that username exclusively for you until the Closed Alpha launches or for a maximum of six (6) months from the date of your pre-registration, whichever comes first. After that period, if you have not registered using your invitation link, the reservation will lapse and the username may become available to other users.
0.3 Your invitation link: When the Closed Alpha launches, you will receive a single email containing a unique, one-time registration URL. This link is personal to you and must not be shared. Use of the link by any person other than the pre-registrant constitutes a violation of these Terms.
0.4 Communications: By pre-registering, you consent to receive one transactional email — your invitation link. You will not receive marketing communications unless you separately and explicitly opt in. Kradle will not contact you for any other purpose without your consent.
0.5 If the Closed Alpha is cancelled or delayed: In the event that the Closed Alpha does not launch, Kradle will notify all pre-registrants by email and permanently delete all pre-registration data — including email addresses and desired usernames — within thirty (30) calendar days of that notification. No data will be retained beyond that period.
0.6 Closed Alpha nature: The Closed Alpha is a pre-release testing environment. It is provided without warranty. Game progress, account data, in-game currency, and all other data created during the Closed Alpha period may be reset, modified, or permanently deleted at Kradle's sole discretion at the conclusion of the Closed Alpha phase or at any time during it. Participation in the Closed Alpha does not entitle you to any compensation, continuation of progress, or preferential treatment in any subsequent release.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "Player") and Kradle (Pty) Ltd, incorporated in the Republic of South Africa ("Kradle"), governing your access to and use of the Kradle platform and all associated services. The Platform is hosted in the United States of America and managed from South Africa. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
The Platform is exclusively available to persons 18 years of age or older. You must have the legal capacity to enter a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction. It is your responsibility to determine whether accessing the Platform is lawful in your jurisdiction.
🚫 Anonymity is not optional. It is a foundational rule of the Kradle Platform. Breach will result in immediate account suspension.
All Users must maintain complete anonymity with respect to their real-world identity at all times. You must not disclose your real name, address, phone number, government ID, employer, or any other identifying information. You must not disclose or solicit the real-world identity of any other User. The Platform includes an in-game espionage mechanic permitting exposure of in-game personas only — this does not authorise disclosure of real-world personal information.
Kradle is an anonymous social media platform incorporating political, economic, and military simulation mechanics. Nations within the simulation are fictional entities and do not represent real-world governments, peoples, or policies. Players may establish political parties of any ideology as part of the simulation. Kradle does not endorse any in-game ideology.
Permitted: Political satire, in-game nationalism and rivalry, in-game propaganda, role-play of controversial ideologies, competitive hostility between players' in-game personas, strong language consistent with the 18+ restriction.
🚫 Absolutely prohibited: Real-world threats of violence; real-world hate speech; child sexual abuse material (CSAM); non-consensual intimate imagery; doxxing; incitement to real-world violence; fraudulent impersonation.
Each nation may establish a Judiciary empowered to impose in-game sentences including imprisonment (suspension of in-game privileges) and execution (permanent national ban within the simulation). These are simulation mechanics and do not override these Terms. These Terms are the supreme governing document of the Platform.
Kradle moderates compliance with these Terms only — specifically globally prohibited content and the anonymity policy. Kradle does not moderate in-game political, military, or social disputes. Moderation is conducted via automated systems, human review, and user reports. Kradle operates as an interactive computer service provider under Section 230 of the US Communications Decency Act.
One account per person. Multi-accounting is prohibited. You are solely responsible for your account credentials. Account trading, gifting, or sharing is prohibited.
9.1 In-game currencies: The Kradle simulation uses real-world and historically inspired currencies, each assigned an in-game exchange rate relative to one another. These currencies exist solely within the simulation. They have no real-world monetary value, cannot be redeemed for real-world currency, and their in-game exchange rates bear no necessary relationship to real-world or historical exchange rates. Kradle reserves the right to adjust in-game exchange rates and currency values as part of ongoing economic simulation balancing.
9.2 Premium Tier: Kradle offers a Premium subscription tier providing access to enhanced features, cosmetic items, or gameplay advantages as specified on the Platform at the time of purchase. Premium benefits are subject to change with reasonable prior notice.
9.3 Purchases: All purchases are governed by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (SA) and ECTA. South African consumers have a 5-business-day cooling-off right for direct marketing transactions. Real-money transactions purchase access to Premium features only — they do not purchase in-game currency or any asset with real-world value.
You retain ownership of original content you create. By posting, you grant Kradle a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use your content in connection with the Platform. All Platform software, design, and branding are the exclusive property of Kradle (Pty) Ltd.
Violations may result in a warning, feature restriction, temporary suspension, or permanent ban. Suspended accounts may appeal within 14 calendar days to appeals@kradle.com. Appeals are reviewed within 21 days. The Appeals Committee's decision is final within the Platform.
12.1 Governing framework: Personal information is processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Kradle collects minimum data necessary for Platform operation. No real names or personal identifiers are required beyond what is necessary for account verification. Kradle will comply with lawful orders from competent law enforcement and judicial authorities. Anonymity protections do not limit Kradle's legal obligations.
12.2 Right to erasure: In accordance with POPIA, you have the right to request deletion of your personal information held by Kradle. To submit a deletion request, contact privacy@kradle.com. Kradle will process verified deletion requests within thirty (30) calendar days. Note that deletion of your account data will result in permanent termination of your account and all associated in-game data.
12.3 Cookies and session data: The Platform uses strictly necessary session cookies required for authentication and security. Kradle may use anonymised analytics to monitor Platform performance. No advertising or tracking cookies are used. By using the Platform, you consent to the use of strictly necessary cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will affect Platform functionality.
12.4 Third-party service providers: Kradle uses trusted third-party service providers to operate the Platform, including but not limited to email delivery services (for sending invitation links and transactional emails) and payment processors (for Premium subscriptions). These providers process only the minimum data necessary for their specific function and are bound by data processing agreements consistent with POPIA obligations. Kradle does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
The Platform is provided "as is". Kradle's total liability for any claim is limited to the total amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the event. The simulation does not constitute advice or commentary on real-world politics or international relations.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts, after a mandatory 30-day good-faith negotiation period. South African consumers may refer disputes to the National Consumer Commission.
Kradle may amend these Terms at any time with 14 days' notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. Contact: legal@kradle.com
